PRIORITIES - SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN - 2017-2018
Y Welsh Language- Adopt Pie Corbett strategeis to develop the verbal element so as to increase the numbers who acheive L4+ and L5+ and D5+ and D6+ at the foundation phase.
Numerical Reasoning - raise standards and ensure progression in numerical reasoning increasing pupil numbers who achieve the higher quartiles in their performance in the National Tests - maintain performance in the higher quartiles at KS2/Improve result from Quartiles 2 D5/D6.
Continue to implement Pivotal Curriculum, specifically focussing on maintaining standards of Personal and Social Development D5+/D6+ and establish ‘Family Learning Signature’ scheme to strengthen links with the family and equip parents to support their children to improve their skills.
Develop the Outside Zone to ensure that educational provision at the Foundation Phase is of excellent quality.
Improve school percentage attendance to achieve quartile 1 targeting and tracking different learner groups.
Continue to develop our provision through aiming to Excel in our International collaboration to respond to the Digital Competence Framework - the school participates in the ERASMUS project.
Assessment For Learning - ensure consistency of use of Shirley Clarke strategies. (Following scrutiny session on books with the Challenge Adviser.)
